Event description

Description

What can we do when managing "what to do" gets in the way of actually "getting it done"?

A kanban system organizes the mess in our minds into a smooth flow of work.

Kanban is a system to help manage projects and tasks. It uses a trigger system to manage how many projects are currently active, so you can spend time focusing on each task without being distracted. It also reduces the overwhelming feeling from the other projects, as they are not in your immediate field of view.

There are only two rules of personal kanban.

  1. Visualize the work

  2. Limit the work-in-process

Join Brion and Maria for this FREE overview workshop based on Jim Benson and Tonianne DeMaria Barry’s book, Personal Kanban.

Workshop objectives:

  • Create your own kanban board (physical or digital)

  • Learn how to use a kanban board to increase your productivity

  • Share lessons learned and best practices for adapting your kanban system for your unique situation

Watch this 6-minute video for a Personal Kanban overview from Jim Benson: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZG6IDTHJ-bg.

If you have additional questions about the workshop, please reach out to us at leanportland@gmail.com.
