Event Information
About this Event
Personal Development (Tuesday Evenings, Waitakere)
An 8 week course brought to you by Youthline Auckland
About the Course
Personal Development is a lively and varied programme, using experiential activities, games, discussions and a bit of interesting theory to give you lots of opportunities to find out more about yourself and build better communication and relationship-building skills as well. It is also great for helping you learn more about working in a team, managing difference and conflict, building self esteem and confidence, goal setting and trust.
Personal Development serves as the first step in the journey towards becoming a counsellor on the Youthline Helpline, but people may choose to attend this as a stand-alone course for their own personal growth and to improve their self awareness and communication skills (and to have a really interesting experience and meet lots of great people!).
Course Duration
Tuesday Evenings 7:00pm-9:30pm: 9 February to 30 March 2021, plus one weekend session on Saturday 27 February (10am to 4pm)
One 2.5 hour session a week for eight weeks + 1 Weekend session (Saturday).
Who is this suitable for?
The course is open to all people 17 years and over. The Personal Development programme can be emotionally demanding, in registering for this course you are declaring that you are emotionally well and ready to undertake this training.
