Event description
Artists and artisans learn the fundamentals of personal branding from an experienced professional using real-world examples of success.

About this Event

For independent artists, building your personal brand is key to growing a following, connecting with an audience, and finding your most loyal collectors. But where do you start? At its core, your brand is what your most avid collectors feel when they think about your work. It’s a story connected to an emotion.

How do I know what my patrons feel when they think about my work? What is my story? How do I know what resonates with customers? Does my website reinforce my brand or not? What about business cards? Signage? With limited funds, what’s the most important place to start?

Julia Canada Wilburn, communications manager for Tennessee Craft, leads this seminar with an overview of personal branding with specific examples of artists' successfully using best practices followed by a Q&A conversation. At this seminar, you’ll get your questions answered and walk away with practical advice that you can use immediately to build your personal brand as an artist.

Presented in collaboration with Tennessee Craft and generously hosted by The Clay Lady.
