Person-Centered Care: Applications in Day-to-Day Practice (in Rural Communities)

Description:

Participants may be familiar with the term person-centered care, but may struggle with how to apply this approach with clients. This workshop will define person-centered care and discuss the application of this approach from the beginning of treatment to the end stage in outpatient and continuing care settings in rural communities. Participants will also learn the key components of New York State's Office of Addiction Services and Supports' (OASAS') standards of documentation of person-centered care in the treatment records of clients under their care.

This training has been approved for two renewal hours (CASAC, CPP, CPS) and two initial hours (CPP, CPS) through New York State’s Office of Addiction Services and Supports (NYS OASAS). As an IC & RC member board, OASAS accredited courses are granted reciprocal approval by the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs, Alcohol and Drug Counselor Committee. Many other states offer reciprocity - please check with your accrediting agency.
