Permanent Residency Pathways for Postdocs
Are you an international postdoctoral researcher interested in pursuing your research permanently in the U.S.? Are you looking for information on ways one can become a permanent resident in the U.S.?
If so, please attend this workshop given by Roark Miller, Director of the International Scholar Office.
This workshop will touch on the most common pathways that postdoctoral researchers can use to adjust to permanent residency status, including employment based filings such as Labor Certification for college and university teachers and the Outstanding Professor/Researcher category, as well as categories in which one can self-petition, including the Extraordinary Ability and National Interest Waiver categories.
Additionally, this workshop will address the topic of internal policies on employment-based permanent residency here at UCSD, and the specific appointment titles that allow such sponsorship.
This seminar will be followed by a panel discussion with postdoc PR holders, Francesca Telese and Jelena Todoric with time for Q&A with the panelists and Dr. Miller.
