Permaculture Design workshop

Permaculture Design workshop

By Hamish Evans (Middle Ground Growers)

Overview

Permaculture is an ecological design science and tool to maximise diversity and relational thriving for projects, farms and ecosystems.

In this workshop we will explore the design ethics, principles and tools of permaculture - a refreshingly hopeful yet pragmatic approach to growing, life, business and farming. How to bring your ideas, dreams and projects to life and holistic design through applied permaculture thinking. The topics we will cover:

  • Introduction to Permaculture
  • Ethics and principles of design
  • Design process
  • Applying permaculture at scale

We will share our lessons in desigining, implementing and operating successful permaculture gardens and farms at different scales, and go through a design process example in practice. We hope to inspire and support your own permaculture and growing journeys at all scales and in different contexts. Permaculture is for everyone!

The workshop will be located in our earth floor classroom on the farm in the new solar barn - a beautiful learning space with views over the farm, and a delicious lunch from the land included !

We have sliding scale ticket pricing options available, with supported tickets for low income individuals or new entrant growers. Please get in touch if you have any dietary or other needs for the workshops! We look forward to welcoming you to the farm and taking the regenerative leap together!
