Event description

Description

As the earth warms, sea levels rise and super-storms become more frequent and intense, many of the world’s major coastal cities may soon be under water. In the last five years alone, the United States has been hit with 83 hurricanes, devastating cities from New York to Houston.

Join GPB on Tuesday, June 25 for a free screening event. Guests will learn about the effects of climate change and rising sea levels on local Georgia communities through a special new episode of GPB’s award-winning series, Georgia Outdoors. Executive Producer and Host Sharon Collins will share insights into her research and writing of the episode in this special pre-broadcast screening with special guest Brian Meyer of the Georgia State University Department of Geosciences.

Free parking is available in the onsite parking deck. Please park in the visitor designated area on the 2nd level. Driving directions and information may be found online here.
