Event description

Description

Artist teachers are responsible for ensuring students receive high-quality curriculum, instruction and assessment in the arts. In the process, artist teachers sometimes become disconnected from their own artistic practice. In this hands-on art making session, participants will focus on their own artistic development by experimenting with new techniques and skills, and developing and creating within in the discipline of dance.

During this session, Hubbard Street Dancer Kevin J. Shannon will lead an introduction to the work and creative process of highlighting one of this season’s choreographers. Participants will learn and practice distinct movement by working with excerpted phrase work from current repertory. Attendees will receive tickets to attend the Hubbard Street Summer Series June 6, 8, or 9.

Light refreshments will be provided.
