Join us for the Grand Opening of The Perch, a park eleven stories in the sky located at Capital One Center in Tysons, Virginia. During our three-day Grand Opening Festival, guests can enjoy the latest addition to Northern Virginia’s craft brewery scene at Starr Hill Biergarten along with a weekend of live music, kid-friendly activities and local personalities who will celebrate with us all weekend long. Registration is FREE with a suggested donation to Perchfest charity partner, Best Buddies in Virginia & DC. Text VADCCOY to 76278 to make a donation.
Parents: Perchfest's Kids Party will be held Sept 18th 12pm-3pm with super heroes rappelling down The Watermark Hotel, face painting, and a children's music and movement program hosted by My Gym Vienna/Tysons.

Can I bring my dog? While The Perch is dog-friendly, we recommend to leave your pups at home this weekend because we anticipate large crowds.
Is there parking onsite? Yes, parking is available and we are in walking distance of the McLean Metro.

Meet our emcee for Saturday, September 18th: Tommy McFLY! You might remember Tommy from Capital One Center's Pups & Pints event to support Lucky Dog Animal Rescue in the Spring.
Tommy has made a name for himself as a DC media ambassador. Since he arrived in the nation’s capital in 2006, he - in no particular order – was the youngest person to host a morning radio show in Washington; during the Obama Administration became the first person in history to emcee the White House Easter Egg Roll; and created the Best Buddies Prom, which raised more than $1 million in five years. Whether he’s co-hosting “The Tommy + Kelly Show” on Real.Fun.DC. or sharing the stories of the people and communities that make Washington tick on NBC4, his love for his adopted city shines through. His commitment to social responsibility began at age five, when he helped his great grandmother pinch perogies for the local firehouse bazaar, and he continues to use his microphone to encourage others to get involved, give back, and pay it forward. His awards include a 2019 Capital Emmy for his coverage of the Nationals’ World Series, a 2018 EPIC Award for Social Media Content, and the key to the city of Herndon, Virginia.

Best Buddies International is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement to create opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities such as Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, and other multiple disabilities.
Best Buddies in Virginia & DC (BBVADC) was established in 2005 and now serves over 4,700 participants throughout the Capital Region in 86 school friendship chapters; with over 250 adults in our Citizen Friendship Program; and 40 participants in our Jobs Program providing supported employment at 50 local companies and organizations.
