About this Event

About this Event

Prose for performance needs to be immediately vivid and accessible, and weave a story in a way that springs to life for the listener. The relationship with a live audience is subtly different from the relationship with a reader, and you can also help yourself by writing passages that slip off the tongue with impact and fluency. In this two hour workshop, led by Vin Adams, seasoned members of T'Articulation will focus on the key characteristics of performance prose and help you explore techniques for writing new work or adapting existing pieces. If you aspire to being part of the local spoken word scene, or if you just want to gain confidence when speaking in public, this event should not be missed. T'Articulation will help you to celebrate your work and reach new audiences!

Participants will be encouraged to 'read out' at various stages of the workshop and invited to perform at T'Articulation's Writes of Spring open mic section. You can book tickets here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-writes-of-spring-tickets-128271370121

Any participation in public readings is entirely voluntary.
