Planning shapes the built environment around us in the form of economic development, parks, streets and housing. It is meant to be a collaborative project with residents, businesses and local government but have residents been able to influence and shape the direction and outcomes of these plans, especially for racial and economic equity? Come join us to hear from local advocates on their experiences doing this work, especially as many cities (including Minneapolis and St. Paul) prepare to update their city-wide comprehensive plans for the Metropolitan Council.
