People Power: Building Effective Coalitions Across Social Movements
Event Information
Description
Join The Marigold Project and our partner organizations and activists on Saturday, December 7 in Denver!
We will gather at INDUSTRY Denver in understanding of the importance of building alliances across social movements. Facilitation and training will be led by Stasha Rhodes of The Hub Project, with a keynote address by Jahmal Cole of My Block, My Hood, My City.
We will then dig deeper on how we hold ourselves accountable to this work. Featuring session leaders from across the country and right here in Colorado, our goal is to build capacity and community as we seek a world that values people and our planet.
In addition to policy change, we need widespread cultural change. We will embrace our differences to build a just movement that is broad, equitable and inclusive of reality and respect for all people. We will center the voices of communities on the front lines in the fight for social justice. We will embrace and uplift their leadership.
