Pension Reform Briefings
Wednesday, September 28, 2011 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM (BST)
Leicester, United Kingdom
Every business in the UK will be affected by Pension Reform. Are you aware of the action you need to take?
Are you an employer, Owner Director, Finance Director, Head of Human Resources, Solicitor or Accountant? Pension Compulsion will impact you and your clients' businesses. Join us at our briefing meetings on September 28th to understand the exact implications of Pension Reform and how you can prepare for the changes.
New compulsory workplace pension rules come into effect from October 2012 through a process known as 'auto-enrolment'. This legislation will phase in (depending on company size) and all employers in the UK will be required by law to:
· Have a company pension scheme that is compliant with Qualifying Workplace Pension Scheme (QWPS) rules;
· Automatically enrol all qualifying employees not already in a compliant scheme into a QWPS; and
· Ensure that at least the minimum contribution is paid into the Scheme - ultimately 3% of Band Earnings from the employer and 4% from the employee (with the Government adding another 1% tax relief).
There is a lot of confusion around what this will mean for businesses of all sizes, so we are delighted to be hosting two briefing meetings on September 28th with Steve Bee as our guest speaker. Steve is a multi-award winning commentator on Pensions and prolific blogger, with a real ability to communicate complicated pension issues in a clear and concise way. He will explain how the legislation will affect your company and what business owners or professional firms can do to prepare themselves (and their clients) for the impending changes.
Steve will help you to understand:
· What does Pension Compulsion mean for my business or my clients' businesses?
· When will we need to comply with the law?
· Is our existing Pension Scheme good enough or must we choose another?
· What happens if we ignore this piece of legislation?
· What are the pitfalls we need to be aware of?
At the event you will have the opportunity to meet Steve Bee and network with other business owners, creating further opportunities for your business.
Places are strictly limited. Please book your place today, to avoid disappointment or to secure the Early Bird ticket price.
