Share Pelvic Health 101

Event Details

FREE educational seminars focused on exploring the relationship between the pelvic floor muscles and bowel, bladder, sexual and reproductive health.

All seminars start at 7pm.

Beyond Basics Physical Therapy is hosting a raffle at the beginning of May for Pelvic Pain Awareness Month. We ask you to participate in the raffle by buying a raffle ticket. 

Each donation will be raffled off to participating patients, the general public and healthcare practitioners. All proceeds will go to IPPS, which gives patients and health care providers more resources to help treat chronic pelvic pain conditions.

March 7th: Something’s wrong with my what? Learn the pelvic floor muscle anatomy and its relationship to bowel, bladder and sexual function with Stephanie Stamas, DPT

March 14th: Running to the bathroom, again. A closer look at urinary dysfunction and painful bladder conditions with Stephanie Stamas, DPT

 March 21st: Why is pooping so difficult? Learn the role of muscle coordination, toilet posture and easy techniques to improve your bowel movements today with Stephanie Stamas, DPT

 March 28th: Does my diet really matter? Yes! What you eat matters. Come learn about the best nutrition for your pelvic floor condition with nutritionist Jessica Drummond, MPT, CCN, CHC

 April 4th: Pain & Sexuality: Is it all in my head? No, it is not! Pelvic pain is highly correlated with muscle dysfunction in men & women. Come learn more about the connection with Stephanie Stamas, DPT

 April 11th: Men’s Only Seminar. A time to learn about male-specific pelvic floor disorders, including genital and perineal pain, sexual dysfunction and post-prostatectomy incontinence. Taught by Sarah Paplanus, DPT and urologist Dr. Seth Cohen.

 April 18th: Ladies Only Seminar. A time to explore female anatomy, hormones, life cycle changes and a safe space for questions with Stephanie Stamas, DPT

April 25th: I’m Pregnant – Help! The female body is designed to give birth, so how do things go wrong? Birth educator, Ashley Brichter, will discuss how to improve your birthing experience.

May 2nd: Potty Issues with Kiddos. Learn about how to manage your child’s potty issues! From bed wetting, to accidents and constipation, find out how PT can help with Fiona McMahon, DPT
