Political Economy Futures Forum (PEFF) Policy Briefing Surgery with the Centre for Public Policy (CPP)

Join us for an interactive session designed to support researchers in crafting impactful policy briefing papers. Delivered by PEFF in collaboration with the CPP, this workshop will provide tailored advice, peer-to-peer learning, and practical guidance on how to communicate your research effectively to policy audiences. This event is structured to offer both strategic insights and hands-on feedback. Participants will receive pre-session guidance from the Centre for Public Policy team and engage in collaborative group work during the session to refine their approach and learn from others. Following the surgery and feedback, the best of the policy briefings will be published by the Centre for Public Policy and circulated with the audience. Coffee, tea and lunch will be provided.

Registration Deadline: 1st of November

Submission Deadline: 17th of November.

Briefings must be submitted to the Centre for Public Policy by 17th of November so the team has time to read them all and provide feedback. They are to be approximately 2-4 pages, with advice circulated to registered attendees in the coming weeks from CPP to support the drafting process. Briefings can be on any topic (and all will receive feedback), but CPP has particular interest in publishing on budgets, spending and fiscal frameworks, climate change, and child poverty with a focus on Scotland, the UK and the US.
