Peer-to-Peer 8 Week Education Course Begins September 21, 2021
Event Information
About this event
NAMI Peer-to-Peer is a free, 8-session course for adults living with mental health challenges. The course provides an educational setting focused on recovery that offers respect, understanding, encouragement and hope. The course is taught by Peer Leaders who are devoted to helping others overcome the challenges of life with a mental health condition, and know what it is like to live with a mental health challenge. Recovery is different for each person, but the need for support on the journey is universal. The program is a peer-directed program because we believe that no one can teach about mental health recovery like someone who has lived it. This course is not a map or instruction manual for life with a mental health condition. It is a valuable resource that helps participants uncover what living well looks like for them. With new knowledge, tools and support, people can better take charge of their lives and choices.
