What is a peer Support Group?

A Peer Support is a group of supportive peers typically led by someone who has a close relationship with the group topic. Peer support by PureSpark is looking to support:

-peers that may currently be living with a mental illness,
-peers that have a loved one who is living with a mental illness,
-peers that have experienced symptoms of a mental mental illness in the past,
-peers that maybe experiencing “unfavorable” emotions/feelings during a stressful time (i.e. COVID-19).

Examples of Unfavorable Emotions/Feelings:

Stressful times:

-On the job Stress

-Loss of job

-Loss of a loved one





What we hope to provide:

-Resources/Guest Speakers

-A safe space


-Listening Ear(s)




What we do not provide:

-Clinical Therapy

-Emergency Services
