This talking circle will be a space to share the challenges and successes that Peer Supervisors are experiencing across Indian Country.

About this event

Peer recovery programs have been emerging across Indian Country. One critical element of these programs is the supervision of peers (i.e. recovery coaches, Peer Recovery Support Specialists/PRSS, peer support workers, etc). The goal of this virtual talking circle is to assess the challenges and successes Peer Supervisors are experiencing in Indian Country. While the stories and experiences shared will help SPTHB plan future trainings and better support peer supervisors, there will also be an experienced team of panelists to provide real-time feedback. Peer supervisors, peers, and those interested in developing a peer program are invited to participate in this virtual learning community and share their experiences. There will be a link to ask questions to the group anonymously if it is preferred.

Objectives:

1) Identify common challenges and successes that peer programs are experiencing in Indian Country

2) Connect with other peer supervisors across Indian Country

3) Receive feedback and recommendations on the challenges identified
