Event description

Description

This event is part of the Charleston Jung Society 2017-2018 lecture series.

Our guest speaker for this January will delight us with an experiential lecture. He will present artwork and song inspired by Greek Mythology. Pedro’s aim will be to project and translate personal struggle through an archetypal framework as laid out by Carl Jung. The lecture will explore the value of personal expression while revisiting Greek lore and using art therapy.

Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Pedro Rodriguez received his MA in art therapy from the University of Louisville, in Kentucky. He has taught art in the Charleston County schools for 28 years and has participated in many exhibitions, including the Piccolo-Spoleto Juried Exhibition in 1991 and the North Charleston Arts Festival. His presentations often include a combination of his artwork and his guitar-playing to teach about Latin American culture.
