Wednesday, March 7, 2018, “Pediatric Brain Development: Conception through Early Adulthood”, presented by Dr. Brian M. Fidlin, Psy. D., Cushing Elementary Activity Room. When you have a solid understanding of the sequence of how the brain develops during childhood, you also gain insights into the best parenting strategies to use at each stage! Dr. Fidlin has a unique way of helping parents and educators gain a better understanding of issued faced by children and adolescents. He is a clinical psychologist and nationally recognized speaker on the areas of pediatric brain development, substance abuse, and obesity in youth. You will experience many “aha moments” during this highly educational and often humorous presentation about the impact brain development has on decision making, emotions, and risk taking from childhood through the teenage years. Special emphasis will be placed on current trends in adolescent mental health as well warning signs. Dr. Fidlin works at Milwaukee Psychiatrists & Psychologists Chartered and has over 20 years of serving children, adolescents and their families in the Midwest.
