Pediatric Advanced Life Support - Renewal Class
Please read the following information carefully before enrolling for this class. Classes are held in the Education Center #103. Please be on time or you may be denied admittance. You are required to be present for the entire class. If you cannot attend, contact the Education Department 801-601-2381 at least 48 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule. Classes may be cancelled due to lack of enrollment. PALS books are available for check-out in the Education Department for a $48 deposit.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Provider Course is designed for healthcare providers who initiate and direct basic through advanced life support for the pediatric population. In this course you will enhance your skills in the evaluation and management of an infant or child with respiratory compromise, circulatory compromise, or cardiac arrest.
The Goal of the PALS Provider Course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.

To successfully complete the PALS Provider Course you must do the following:
- Actively participate in, practice, and complete all skills stations and learning stations
- Pass the 1 – and 2-rescuer Child BLS with AED and 1- and 2-Rescuer Infant BLS skills Tests
- Pass a written exam with a minimum score of 84%
- Pass 2 PALS core case tests as a team leader
