Join us virtually for an evening filled with food, laughter, and music.

About this Event

In keeping with our city’s social distancing recommendations, we’ve adapted our signature fundraiser and will host a virtual twist to our Sauté and Sizzle annual event. This year’s event, Pearls Fresh Chef and Comedian Show, will be held virtually through a zoom platform. During the event, 3 male chefs will demonstrate how they prepare their favorite dish, similar to the Food Network cooking shows. Guests will be able to prepare as many of the dishes as they would like during the event in their own kitchen and with their ingredients, while enjoying humor from comedian, Micah “Bam Bamm” White and also learning how to pair wine with their meals, sponsored by Brambly Winery, located in our own Scott’s Addition.

After a fantastic meal is prepared, guests will be entertained with a comedian show by Bam Bamm and music by DJ Marcus Logan. There will also be a silent auction. The silent auction will run from October 31, 2020 through November 7, 2020, the night of the event. Guests will also be able to purchase a personalized Saute and Sizzle apron (see image attached).

A link to the silent auction items along with a link to the zoom platform to join the event will be provided to all guests days leading up to the event.

Here are the recipes of what the chefs will be making:

Cajun Shrimp & Chicken Pasta

1/2- LB Linguine

(pre cooked)

1/3 cup pasta water

(After pasta is cooked save 1/3 cup of water before draining)

1- TBLS butter

1- small onion chopped

1- green pepper chopped

1-TBLS Thyme

1/2 - tsp salt

1/2 -cup cherry tomatoes

1/2- Lb shrimp (peeled and Sauteed)

1/2- Lb chicken breast (cubed and cooked)

1/4- cup heavy cream

3- tsp Cajun seasoning

1/2 - cup Parmesan cheese

Crab Quesadilla

Jumbo lump crabmeat 8 to 16 oz

Tortillas flour 6 to 8 inches

Onions 1 medium

Green onion 5 oz

Green and red peppers 1 ea

Pico de Gallo 8 oz

Dijon mustard 1 Tsp

Worcestershire sauce 2 oz

Lemons 2

Old Bay 1 oz

Cajun Seafood seasoning 1 oz

Monterey & Colby Jack Cheese mix 64 oz= 4 lbs

Salsa (optional)

Guacamole (optional)

Jerk Turkey Wings

(Pre cook wings before cooking event)

1/2 cup Apple cider vinegar

2 tablespoons dark rum

2 Scotch bonnet peppers (or habaneros), with seeds, chopped

1 red onion, chopped

4 green onion tops, chopped

1 tablespoon dried thyme or 2 Tbsp fresh thyme leaves, chopped

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

2 teaspoons salt

2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper

4 teaspoons ground allspice

4 teaspoons ground cinnamon

4 teaspoons ground nutmeg

4 teaspoons ground ginger

6-8 Turkey wings

1/2 cup lime juice

Salt and pepper

Turkey wings will be served over rice and peas.
