Event description
Peacetech 101 is a practical introduction to innovation and technology for peacebuilders.

About this Event

The first of its kind, this course covers innovation processes and technology tools that can be successfully used to build peace and prevent conflict, an emerging body of practice often referred to as ‘peacetech’.

With 4-weeks of engaging content, plus a final week devoted to personal consultation with Build Up team members, participants will emerge with a strong understanding of the essential principles of peacetech and a core toolkit to design programs that strategically introduce technology tools and innovation processes to their peacebuilding work.

The training course is aimed at international and local peacebuilding professionals and practitioners with a focus on hands-on learning, practical content, and applicable tools. No prior knowledge of technology tools or innovation processes is required. However, we do assume a base knowledge and experience of peacebuilding programming.

Registration is now open for the upcoming training cycle, July 1 - Aug 2. Register early to take advantage of pre-course opportunities!

Delivered entirely online over a period of five weeks, the course consists of a blend of asynchronous modules for completion at your own pace as well as synchronous webinars and meeting opportunities to deepen learning along with trainers and peers.

With an estimated 20-30 hours of coursework, we recommend budgeting a minimum commitment of 5-6 hours per week and scheduling time for the course around your existing obligations. Additionally, participants will have access to all course content for at least 2 months after the completion of the course.
