Blurry Vision: How to Recognize and Overcome Unconscious Bias
An audience-driven discussion using live opinion polls & real data
Event Objective: To help the participant recognize patterns of bias in themselves and in others in order to promote an inclusive work environment. The event will use live polling software (Polleverywhere) to pepper audience experience and opinions throughout the panel discussion, revealing the real facts along the way to gauge the audience’s own perception of how implicit biases influence our decision-making.
By the end of this program, participants will:
- Develop a deeper understanding of the filters through which we view the world and its impact on interpersonal behavior;
- Understand the ways that unconscious patterns and judgments impact interpersonal behavior
- Identify ways to support inclusion and diversity in the work environment.
Open to men and women at all levels. Light snacks and beverages will be served. Doors open at 5:30pm for registration and networking, program begins at 6:00pm.
