Bringing together construction experts to expand valuable solutions for adapting the companies to changing climate conditions.

About this event

Challenges, opportunities and profits in sustainable construction

The construction environment is responsible for around 25% of global CO2 emissions. Energy-related carbon for building services, as well as carbonate embedded in building materials, are among the main factors responsible for the climate disasters we see today.

The company's sustainability is the company's future

Achieving net-zero by 2050 will require buildings and the construction industry to decarbonise three times faster over the next 30 years than the previous 30. The building industry is currently struggling with the problem of the first-mover standoff between policy, financing and projects. To address the remaining carbon, a budget needs to be spent on transformation where an optimized design process is critical to reducing carbon emissions.

The companies that start earlier have a chance to build competencies in sustainability that will allow them not only to survive in the business but also use this situation to thrive and grow.

PBLINK Polish Construction Roundtable

Polish construction firms have an enviable reputation in the UK for quality and value. Within the entire construction supply chain, it’s a similar story – Polish architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors and developers are highly regarded within the industry. Polish building materials and interior fittings have a similar reputation.

Construction Roundtable events will be organized regularly to support their ambitions to grow green construction businesses in the UK. We will touch on a number of important issues for the industry, including sustainability, modular building, decarbonization, innovative technology (VR&AR) and more.

Our mission is to promote Polish Construction Firms in the UK to build a platform for all, helping to create opportunities, collaborations and discussions so we can move forward with our business so that the construction industry can better identify trends, significant challenges and profits of sustainability.

Who is it for?

This is a PBLINK Construction Network event, open to all.
The network was set up to help Polish construction firms to cooperate with UK businesses and to build effective networks. The group comprises everyone involved in the construction supply chain, from general contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, developers, building materials manufacturers and importers to commercial & residential estate agents. The network meets regularly in London & Online to discuss issues and events of importance to the industry.

How to Participate

The Keynote Speech and Panel Discussion will give opportunities for everyone to take part and contribute to the conversation via the Q&A box. In addition, we will organise matchmaking and networking sessions after the panel to help you to build meaningful business relationships.

Spaces for this event are limited to 30. Tea, coffee and refreshments will be provided.
