Join People's Power & Light and Gravity Renewables for this year's Pawtucket Hydro Tour!

See the hydro facility up close, learn how the river's power can be harnessed and converted to electricity, and tour the historic Wilkinson Mill. Enjoy cider, pastries, electric vehicles and a view of the Blackstone River. See pictures from last year's event here!

When: Sunday, November 5th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm (come as early as 10:00 am for an electric vehicle showcase!)

Where: Slater Mill Museum, 67 Roosevelt Ave, Pawtucket RI

Schedule:

11:00 - 11:30 am: Check in at the Slater Mill Museum, and enjoy pastries, cider and coffee. (Electric vehicle showcase available for those who are interested, 10:00 - 11:00 am!)

11:30 am - 12:00 pm: Speaking program about Pawtucket Hydro, featuring People's Power & Light's Marketing & Membership Director, Priscilla De La Cruz, and Julie Smith-Galvin, External Communications Specialist with Gravity Renewables, Inc., followed by Q & A.

12:00 - 2:00 pm: Tour of hydro facility and historic Wilkinson Mill, both with Q & A

2:00 pm: End of tour. Feel free to tour the historic Slater Mill on your own!


What to expect:

Event will be held rain or shine. The walk to the Pawtucket Hydro facility from Slater Mill is less than a 5 minute walk and involves crossing one main street light. The tour of the Slater Mill and hydro historic area also involves walking. We advise wearing sturdy shoes and warm clothing.
