This year, for our annual Out-of-State paint-out, we are going to GLACIER! Not Glacier, WA, but the national park in Montana! Several have already made the commitment to go after the first newsletter went out!

We are heading out after Labor Day to travel and spend 6 nights near East Glacier National Park. The first night's stay is Tuesday, SEPTMBER 4. We will have September 5-9 to paint and explore and leave on Monday the 10th.

Facilitator- Karen Bakke (360) 421-3178 karenbakke@gmail.com

Sign up here for free if you are going, no matter where you are staying. We can then email you with any necessary updates. If you do sign up, and find you CAN'T go, please take the time to go into your account/tickets/and cancel.

PAWA found a lovely set of "condos" to share. The location is an hour's drive from either of the two eastside park entrances. It is also only 15 minutes from Two Medicine Lakes (pictured). This is now full (as of June 26).

There is a travel trailer on the property that they rent out for $75/night. If anyone wants to rent that directly through them, contact Karen Bakke to get more information. Not sure if it wll still be available, but there is other lodging around East Glacier Park Village.

15 minutes away- Two Medicine - Before Going-to-the-Sun Road was constructed, Two Medicine was a primary destination for travelers arriving by train. After spending a night at Glacier Park Lodge, visitors climbed on horseback to travel to Two Medicine for a night in one of several rustic chalets or canvas tipis built by the Great Northern Railway. Today, Two Medicine has become a somewhat off-the-beaten-path discovery for most park visitors. Once discovered however it's easy to see why many people consider this their favorite part of Glacier National Park. Amazing vistas, extensive trails, crashing waterfalls, and sparkling lakes await.

We have been invited to paint with an amazing artist on private property in Glacier. We also will be talking with artists in the East Glacier area about best places and they may come paint with us. Details are still being worked out. Or just come, then go paint on your own. This is an artist retreat with opportunity to paint some of the most spectacular views in the country! We will have a schedule, directions, etc. sent to those who sign up to come!

We check out of lodging on Monday, September 10 and head home.
