The "Poe Park" walkway is not only a central feature of the festival grounds, but a permanent fixture and lasting tribute to Edgar Allan Poe's legacy in Baltimore. Visitors from around the world will see this beautiful gift just steps away from Poe's chamber door. Paver donations support operations and programming at The Edgar Allan Poe House & Museum in Baltimore.

About the festival:
Poe Fest International is a free, two-day outdoor event featuring Poe-themed performances, art, vendors and food, celebrating Poe’s life, works and his influence in the arts. The festival will be directly across the street from Poe House at 203 N. Amity Street in Baltimore, in the newly-built “Poe Park” at Center/West.
The festival includes Poe-themed performances, vendors, booksellers and music, plus family-friendly activities, poetry and art. Attendees will also get to learn about Poe’s life and works from some of the United States’ preeminent “Poe Places”, with representatives from The Edgar Allan Poe House & Museum (Baltimore), The Poe Museum (Richmond, Virginia), The Poe Cottage (Bronx Historical Society, NYC), The Poe Studies Association and The Edgar Allan Poe Society of Baltimore. October 7 & 8 is also “Death Weekend”, commemorating the 174th anniversary of Edgar Allan Poe’s death in Baltimore. Visit PoeFestInternational.org for more vendors and program details, even more TBA. You will also explore the enduring mystery surrounding Poe’s tragic death on a special VIP Death Weekend Bus Tour of Poe’s Baltimore. The 2-hour tour ticket includes stops at four important Poe Places around Baltimore, including Poe’s grave, and the sites where Poe was found and passed away. VIP Death Weekend Bus Tour of Poe’s Baltimore
Explore the enduring mystery surrounding Poe’s tragic death on a special VIP Death Weekend Bus Tour of Poe’s Baltimore. The 2-hour tour ticket includes stops at four important Poe Places around Baltimore, including Poe’s grave and the sites where Poe was found and passed away. Tickets also include a special funeral 'viewing' and the NEW "Poe in Comics" and "Poe Death" Exhibits inside the historic Westminster Hall. Tickets have sold out every year since the festival began, so reserve your seats now!
Edgar Allan Poe in Comics & Poe Death Exhibits
Two exhibits will be on display at the historic Westminster Hall & Burying Ground, just steps from Poe's final resting place. Both are included in one ticket:
Poe in Comics (NEW in 2023!)
Immerse yourself in the chilling world of Edgar Allan Poe through the hauntingly beautiful medium of comics! Witness his tales of horror and suspense brought to life with eerie illustrations and haunting dialogue that will make your heart race and your blood run cold. Discover rare and collectible editions of Poe's work, as well as new interpretations from talented contemporary artists who have put their own unique spin on his classic tales.
This exhibit will explore over a century of comic art & illustration featuring the life and works of Edgar Allan Poe. You'll be amazed at the range and creativity of the comics on display as the dark and mysterious side of Poe's genius is brought to life. The exhibit includes both live guide and interactive audio/mobile app.
The Poe Death Exhibit
An interactive art installation at the historic Westminster Hall & Burying Ground, where Poe's body and casket will lie in state in a re-enactment of the dark and somber day Poe was laid to rest. Tour the various conspiracies that plague Poe's legacy and learn how the very clothes he wore offer clues to his mysterious death. Pay your respects at a special candle-light vigil for the master of horror and mystery.
NOTE: Death and funeral imagery (including body in an open casket), may not be suitable for young children. Viewer discretion advised. This exhibit takes place at location away from Festival Grounds; limited street parking and garage parking is available. This is a ticketed event; timed entry guarantees admission.
