About this event

Donate a PAVER FOR POE in the new walkway at "Poe Park", get first access to VIP Death Weekend Bus Tour tickets at the 2022 International Edgar Allan Poe Festival in October! Tour tickets usually sell out a month before the festival, and this is the only way to reserve this year's tickets before they go on sale to the general public in July. The VIP package also includes a 2022 Poe Fest International official t-shirt!

PLUS, by donating a PAVER FOR POE by June 30, you will be able to see your paver in the new "Poe Park" walkway at the festival in October this year! Personalize a 4"x8" paver (includes 3 lines of text)  and then visit your very own piece of Poe's legacy at Poe Fest International in October.

***Can't travel to Baltimore but still want to donate a paver for Poe? We have a special RavenBeer gift pack and virtual program option just for you!***

The "Poe Park" walkway is not only a central feature of the festival grounds, but a permanent fixture and lasting tribute to Edgar Allan Poe's legacy in Baltimore. Visitors from around the world will see this beautiful gift just steps away from Poe's chamber door. Paver donations support operations and programming at The Edgar Allan Poe House & Museum in Baltimore.

Your Pavers for Poe Fest Int'l package includes:

  • 4" x 8" personalized, engraved paver
  • A seat on the VIP Death Weekend Bus Tour (option to purchase one companion ticket at checkout)
  • Long-sleeve 2022 Poe Fest International T-shirt for pickup at the festival

Pavers are guaranteed to be installed in time for the 5th Annual Poe Fest International, October 8 & 9, 2022.

About the festival:

Poe Fest International is a free, two-day outdoor event featuring Poe-themed performances, art, vendors and food, celebrating Poe’s life, works and his influence in the arts. The festival will be directly across the street from Poe House at 203 N. Amity Street in Baltimore, in the newly-built “Poe Park” at Center/West.

The festival includes Poe-themed performances, vendors, booksellers and music, plus family-friendly activities, poetry and art. Attendees will also get to learn about Poe’s life and works from some of the United States’ preeminent “Poe Places”, with representatives from The Edgar Allan Poe House & Museum (Baltimore), The Poe Museum (Richmond, Virginia), The Poe Cottage (Bronx Historical Society, NYC), The Poe Studies Association and The Edgar Allan Poe Society of Baltimore. October 8 & 9 is also “Death Weekend”, commemorating the 173rd anniversary of Edgar Allan Poe’s death in Baltimore. Visit PoeFestInternational.org for more vendors and program details, even more TBA. Admission to Poe Fest International is FREE.

You will also explore the enduring mystery surrounding Poe’s tragic death on a special VIP Death Weekend Bus Tour of Poe’s Baltimore. The 2-hour tour ticket includes stops at four important Poe Places around Baltimore, including Poe’s grave, and the sites where Poe was found and passed away. Our newest installation, the "Edgar and Virginia Poe Death Exhibit" is also included in the VIP Death Weekend Bus Tour.

The Edgar & Virginia Poe Death Exhibit (NEW in 2022!)

Visit an interactive art installation at the historic Westminster Hall & Burying Ground, where Poe's body and casket will lie in state in a re-enactment of the dark and somber day Poe was laid to rest. Tour the various conspiracies that plague Poe's legacy and learn how the very clothes he wore offer clues to his mysterious death. Pay your respects at a special candle-light vigil for the master of horror and mystery. Included this year: the NEW "Edgar & Virginia Poe Death Exhibit."

Presented by Poe Baltimore at Westminster Hall, the "Edgar & Virginia Poe Death Exhibit" explores the hidden history of Virginia Poe, the beloved wife and muse of Edgar Allan Poe, and how she shaped her husband's work even from beyond the grave. The exhibit also includes the morbid story of Virginia's death and afterlife, plus a memento mori collection of mourning jewelry and sentimental art made from human hair. A mobile app and live guide are included to answer your questions!

NOTE: Death and funeral imagery (including body in an open casket), may not be suitable for young children. Viewer discretion advised. This exhibit takes place at location away from Festival Grounds; limited street parking and garage parking is available. This is a ticketed event; timed entry guarantees admission.
