Paul Pescador: una vez más en inglés... / once more in spanish...

For Mast on Fig, Paul Pescador will explore the role of tourism as a citizen of the United States to understand other parts of the world and the cultural barriers that are reduced and reinforced through the tourist culture. In his performance, una vez más en inglés... / once more in spanish..., he is interested in the translation of languages. As a native Spanish speaker who no longer understands the language, Pescador uses costumes and objects to highlight cultural stereotypes and misunderstandings.

Paul Pescador is an artist, filmmaker, performer and writer who discusses social interactions and intimacy in regards to his own personal identity and history. He graduated with a Master of Arts (MFA) from the University of California, Irvine and a BA from the University of Southern California. Para Mast on Fig, Paul Pescador continúa interesado en el papel del turismo como ciudadano de los Estados Unidos para comprender otras partes del mundo y las barreras culturales que se reducen y refuerzan a través de la cultura turística. En su performance, una vez más en inglés.../once more in spanish...., se interesa en la traducción de idiomas. Como hablante nativo de español que ya no entiende el idioma, Pescador usa disfraces y objetos para resaltar los estereotipos culturales y los malentendidos.

Paul Pescador es un artista, cineasta, intérprete y escritor que discute las interacciones sociales y la intimidad en lo que respecta a su propia identidad personal e historia. Se graduó con una Maestría en Arte (MFA) de la Universidad de California, Irvine y una Licenciatura de la Universidad del Sur de California.
