Co-provided by the Massachusetts Coalition for the Prevention of Medical Errors and Healthcentric Advisors.
The program will showcase highly leveraged strategies to accelerate improvement in patient safety and all elements of "value", and specific projects that have already shown results.
- Create the will for needed changes, and support effective execution
- Enable leaders to address the many demands in the current environment
- Integrate performance improvement to address patient safety and other quality/triple aim goals
- Enhance clinician’s and staff engagement and reduce burnout
The Forum will share strategies and show results from multidisciplinary teams, leadership and front-line teams, and settings including community hospitals, academic medical centers, and ambulatory services.
Who should attend?
This forum is designed for:
• Leadership: c-suite especially COO, CMO, CNO, and clinical and administrative directors
• Clinical staff, including physicians, nurses, NPs and pharmacists
• Unit managers and office practice managers
• Patients, patient representatives and advocates
• Others interested in patient safety
As a result of participating in this forum, learners will be able to:
Describe barriers to improvement efforts in healthcare, and implications for accelerating improvement
Describe the Framework for Clinical Excellence, including the elements of Leadership, Culture, Learning Systems, and Patient & Family Engagement
Identify factors that create risk to patients in care processes, and describe effective patient safety improvement strategies to address them.
Discuss the emotional harm to patients and families, and to clinicians and staff involved, after adverse events, and approaches to provide support and healing to overcome this harm.
Healthcentric Advisors is accredited by The Massachusetts Medical Society to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Nurses: This program meets the requirements of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing (244 CMR 5.00) for 6.0 contact hours.

Full refunds will be offered up to March 20th. After that, you may send a substitute in your place if you can no longer attend, but refunds will not be available.
