Event description
Join us for a discussion with experienced rights defenders on the challenges and opportunities for domestic litigators in a global age.

About this Event

Every day, litigators in the United States fight against encroachments on people’s human and civil rights. Guest speakers Hannah Flamm, Managing Attorney, Detained Minors Project at The Door’s Legal Services Center, and Alexia D. Korberg, Partner at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, will discuss their career paths and work. Hannah represents detained and non-detained youth in removal proceedings. She advocates for their release from custody, for substantive relief such as asylum, and for the protection of their procedural rights. Alexia has litigated a number of LGBTQ and abortion rights cases, including United States v. Windsor and a series of cases in Mississippi.
