Description

PATAcademy-HCD

June 17-19, 2017

Theme: “Unlocking the secrets to effective public speaking”

Inspire audiences and speak to make an impact

OVERVIEW

Public speaking is no longer an option in your professional life. Whether you are a CEO, a business owner or a line manager - you are a public speaker every day – addressing all your many stakeholder groups including, importantly, your colleagues and your workforce. Your challenge is to inspire people to achieve the goals you have set for your business or department.

Beyond your organisation, public speaking skills help you to communicate important messages - even when you are not on stage. Your skills in public speaking are tested every day in many different scenarios – from a major sales pitch to a recruitment interview.

Of course, public speaking skills are vitally important for industry leaders in the public and private sectors. The ability to communicate with intent – persuading, informing, educating and motivating – is paramount.

By practicing and developing your public speaking skills you will be better prepared to craft clear messages for your audiences. You will learn to digest information from the immediate social environment and adapt your communication patterns to fit the occasion.
