About this event

Pianist Pat Coil has toured Japan, South America, Europe and the U.S. with such artists as Michael McDonald, Carmen McCrae, Olivia Newton John, Amy Grant, Vince Gill, Woody Herman and many others. Pat has recorded with many artists including Natalie Cole, Trisha Yearwood, Ernie Watts, Carmen McCrae, BeBe & CeCe Winans, Kenny Rogers, Travis Tritt, Peter Cetera, Woody Herman, Scott Henderson, and Michael McDonald.

During his L.A. years, Pat played on many movie and TV scores, including Star Trek - Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Murphy Brown, Dionne Warwick & Friends, Growing Pains, Major Dad, Spencer For Hire, The Grammy Awards and many more. He played for various artists on the Tonight Show, Arsenio Hall, & Conan O’Brien. Living now in Nashville TN, Pat continues his successful career composing, recording, performing, producing, arranging and teaching. He has composed, produced and performed on hundreds of underscores heard on a variety of media all over the world. Pat taught jazz piano, combos, and improvisation at Middle Tennessee State University, and was an Associate Professor of Jazz Studies at the University Of North Texas.

Pat has recorded six solo jazz albums of his own, the third one being a collaboration with Lyle Mays. “True North” and his new album “Birdhouse” are available at patcoil.com, cdbaby.com and I-Tunes. Saxophonist Don Aliquo continues to be one of the most active artists in the region and beyond. He has played or recorded with many notable artists including Rufus Reid, Gary Burton, Greg Osby, Roger Humphries, Harold Danko, Jim McNeely and Obed Calvaire. Don has been described as a "fluid and articulate player with a flow of always surprising ideas complete with a dexterous technique and an incredibly smooth tenor sound." His most recent cd release (The Innocence of Spring) was recorded live with pianist Michael Jefry Stevens at Hinton Hall on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University where Aliquo is Professor of Saxophone and Jazz Studies.

Hailing from Columbus, Indiana, Brian Allen started playing the bass at age eleven. His playing won him several awards throughout high school, including the prestigious Louis Armstrong Jazz award. After graduating, he moved to Los Angeles to attend Musicians Institute. There he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Music and also won the outstanding student of the year. Brian Allen was most recently on tour with Jonathan Davis of Korn in 2018. He is one of Nashville’s top recording bassists. He was nominated Bass Player of the year by the Academy of Country Music in 2018. Brian is also teaching a clinic series that will be touring in 2019 called Rhythm Section Master Class. Brian has performed a diverse range of live shows as well as recording sessions. His playing spans the musical spectrum from jazz to rock and everything in between.

James DaSilva is a jazz artist, session guitarist, composer, arranger, and educator living in Nashville, TN. He has performed live and in the studio with acclaimed artists and musicians such as the Annie Moses Band, David Liebman, Mike Farris and the Roseland Rhythm Revue, Cyrus Chestnut, Dr. Lonnie Smith, John Ellis, Rodney Whitaker, Bob Franceschini, Jeff Coffin, Felix Pastorius, Mark Lettieri, Victor Wooten, Wycliffe Gordon and many others. Since 2013, James has served as a music instructor at the Conservatory of Annie Moses and the Fine Arts Summer Academy (F.A.S.A.). He is a staff arranger/orchestrator at ManAlive Records in Franklin, TN and also a music transcriber and engraver with Living Stone Music Co and Hal Leonard. He lives in Nashville, TN with his wife Camille and son Gabriel.

Drummer Jordan Perlson is one of the most dynamic and catalytic musicians on the scene today. He transplanted from NYC to Nashville in 2016 but remains an integral part of a wide international music scene. Be it with cutting edge music innovators like Becca Stevens, Snarky Puppy, Banda Magda, progressive musicians Adrian Belew, Echolyn, Kaki King, fusion megastar Hiromi, jazz legends Seamus Blake, Gary Burton, David Liebman, folk heroes Alison Brown, Missy Raines, reggae giants Matisyahu, or Trevor Hall, Jordan has become a well known and sought after force in these many musical circles.

This show is 21 and over only. All sales are final and we unfortunately cannot offer any refunds. Additional tickets may be available at the door on the day of the show even if it is sold out online.

Please try to arrive 15 minutes prior to the show start time. If you do not arrive within 45 minutes after the show start time on your ticket your seat may be resold to other patrons at the door.
