Description

Pasta with a Purpose: Raise a Fork for Clean Creeks and Shores

Kick-Off Event for the 1st Annual Watershed Month in Contra Costa County

Hosted by the Contra Costa Resource Conservation District

Are you interested in your local creeks?

Would you like to help with the stewardship of your local watershed?

Do you care about keeping your creeks healthy and clean?

This is your chance to join in a fun, free community creek event!

For over 75 years, the Contra Costa Resource Conservation District has been dedicated to conservation. From restoring habitat to combating illegal dumping, all our hard work has been made possible by help from our community partnerships. On May 9th, we will host Pasta with a Purpose, a benefit dinner to kick off Contra Costa County’s very first Watershed Month. We invite all who live and work in Contra Costa County to raise a fork for a great cause and celebrate our beautiful watersheds. During the event, we will be serving a FREE spaghetti dinner and invite you to share stories of the hurdles and triumphs of conservation, potential projects, and ideas that are now driving communities toward better stewardship of their watersheds! Join us to hear stories of triumph over adversity and ideas from a new generation of watershed stewards. Come be part of the solution and work together toward the common goal of clean water! Speakers include our public representatives and local community members.

Free non-alcoholic beverages. Beer and wine for purchase.

All products used during the event will be compostable. We are hoping for a nearly, zero waste event.
