When you hear the name Meagan Knapp, think Charlie Trotter's, Le Meridien Hotels, or that wow-like food you had recently at a private function. She is the owner operator of "the Kitchen Door" a highly sought after catering business travelling from near Mansfield all through Victoria and New South Wales. Meagan has heard about Flinders Island produce and is coming down to the Flinders Island Gourmet Retreat to do a hands-on cooking school.

Do you want to be in on the beginning of what Flinders Island Gourmet Retreat offers? All you need to bring is yourself, your favourite paring knife and your favourite chopping knife - and an apron. All your ingredients and other equipment will be supplied for your use on the day as well as a take home recipe book from the day's preparation and cooking.

Meagan will take each person through the steps and the processes. Once the ingredients are cooked, participants will be able to sit at the old oak table, once belonging to a Tasmanian Premier, and enjoy their work. Feedback and questions about technique, flavour, texture, aroma and all those other un-answered questions about pasta making can be explored.
