ONLINE PASSPORT SALES END SATURDAY, OCTOBER 22, 9PM. YOU WILL BE ABLE TO PURCHASE PASSPORTS AT HOME BASE ON SUNDAY 10.23 FROM 11-4PM IN THE CASTRO.
Passport 2011, presented by the SFAC Gallery is an affordable do-it-yourself art collecting experience. This annual public art event takes participants on a neighborhood stroll to collect artist-designed “passport stamps” in a special booklet that, once complete, becomes a limited-edition art book with original work by some of the Bay Area’s finest artists, both established and emerging.

Stamps available at various locations in the Castro, San Francisco
Visit favorite spots in the Castro or discover new ones while collecting original stamps created by Bay Area artists for Passport 2011. Stop by Passport 2011 Home Base to purchase a passport, pick up a map of locations, learn more about the SFAC Gallery, or relax and enjoy $1 hot dogs in the park with the whole family.
HOW DOES THIS WORK?
From noon to 4 pm, hundreds of do-it-yourself art collectors will take to the streets, following a designated, three square block route to collect the stamps from the artists themselves! While discovering some of the brightest spots in the Castro participants canenjoy the people and small businesses that define the neighborhood’s unique cultural character.
HOW DO I GET A PASSPORT?
Passports are $25 and also available for purchase at the SFAC Main Gallery or Passport 2011 Home Base on the day of the event. Only official Passport 2011 will be eligible to receive stamps. Passports from previous years may not be used for any Passport 2011 stamps.
The SFAC Gallery also offers a Concierge Passport option. For $125 Gallery staff will collect all the stamps for you and mail the Passport to your home. Due to the unbelievable demand for Concierge Passports 50 Concierge Passports will be available this, however early purchase is still suggested.
