Passionate about Prairie?
Tues. Oct. 3, 9 a.m. – noon

Journey through the prairie landscape of Jewel Mountain, one of OSMP’s more remote, diverse and resilient prairies, normally closed to the public except on staff-led hikes. Plant ecologist Lynn Riedel and naturalist Lynne Sullivan will guide you through an in-depth exploration of this globally unique and rare habitat. Dress for a flat but rocky off-trail hike through the grasslands, bring water and snacks and layers as the wind can really fly across this landscape, which is mostly flat, despite its name.

Limit: 15 people. Bring water and snacks for this easy journey.
