Description

Pass Area Performing Artists (PAPA) is presenting its first International Film Festival December 2 through December 11, 2016.

The Pass Area International Film Festival brings the best of Domestic and International filmmaking to the Pass Area.

Pass Area Performing Artists is a nonprofit community theater associated with the Cultural Alliance in Banning, CA.

Category Winners:

  • SHORT FILM - "Lost" Written and Directed by Michael Chen
  • FEATURE FILM - "A Promise of Time Travel" Written and Directed by Craig Jessen
  • INTERNATIONAL FEATURE FILM - "The Wait" Written by Rosario Lizzio, Directed by Tiziana Bosco
  • WOMEN IN FILM - "Black White and Grey" Written and Directed by Marieke de Koker
  • LGBTQ FILM - "Rivals" Written and Directed by Alexander Lony
  • DOCUMENTARY FILM - "The Body I Live In" Directed by Sam Davis-Boyd
  • DIVERSITY FILM - "If I Retaliate" Written and Directed by D.J. Hale

The Festival will open with a reception and short films on Friday, December 2, 2016 a 7pm.

Doors open at 7pm. Tickets include first drink and hors d'oeuvres. Screenings will start after introductions of Exective Director and Judges.

Doors open at 3pm. Ticket includes screenings only. Beer, wine and snacks will be sold. Screenings to start around 3:30pm. Each screening will be followed by a talk-back, when filmmakers are available.

Sunday December 4, 2016:

  • "In a Time for Sleep" Written by Mehmet Fatih Güven, Directed by Tofiq Rzayev
  • LGBTQ FILM WINNER - "Rivals" Written and Directed by Alexander Lony
