Description
PASACAT is proud to present the 31st Annual Jr. PASACAT Concert on Saturday, June 2, 2:00 pm at Southwestern College's Mayan Hall Theater, 900 Otay Lakes Rd. Forty-three boys and girls ages 4-17, will perform in the two-hour concert. It's truly amazing how our Junior Program has evolved from the first performance in 1984, and then growing since 1988 when Choreographer/Dance Director, Joji Ramirez Castro took the helm. We're just trying to keep the culture alive and with these very young dancers the future holds bright for PASACAT as we approach our 50th Anniversary in 2020.

PASACAT (with a "k") is a Philippine folk dance, but in San Diego, it began in 1970, as the acronym for the Philippine-American Society and Cultural Arts Troupe. Today, PASACAT’s mission is to preserve and promote the Asian Pacific culture through the arts, thereby, extending goodwill and enhancing cultural understanding.
