As we move into a new year it is with great pride that we note that Goodwill will have assisted over 38,000 people with job and skill development in the 2012 fiscal year. Even more impactful is the change in the lives and careers of the 7,282 South Carolinians Goodwill has put back to work; especially given the difficulties of the current economy. They work in many different fields and with many different specialties, but each of those 7,282 individuals found a job and now empowered with the dignity that comes with a paycheck.
This tremendous success, and the number of lives that are affected, is due in large part to the organizations carefully selected by Goodwill to be honored at the 2013 Partners in the Power of Work Luncheon on February 13, 2013. Each organization has provided educational opportunities, job training, and employment to those served by Goodwill.
Please join us in honoring these great organizations on February 13, 2013, from 11:30-1:00 P.M. at the Columbia Convention Center (downtown Columbia). Last year, the inaugural event was a great success and we expect this year’s event to be just as exciting.
This year's recipients who help to further Goodwill's mission:
W.R. Rogers Adult, Continuing, & Technology Education Center (Richland School District 2)
Lexington-Richland Alcohol And Drug Abuse Council, Inc. (LRADAC)
