Family Voices of Mississippi presents the Partners in Health Care Advocacy & Leadership Summit.

The Partners in Health Care Advocacy & Leadership Summit will provide an overview of the health care transition process for children and young adults with special health care needs.

The participants will learn the "how, why, when, & who" of the transition process and also learn why partnership between the youth or young adult with special health care need, family, and professionals is extremely important to the success of the transition plan.

The summit will consist of informative and interactive sessions. The speakers will consist of local professionals, self-advocates, and parents who will help the attendee truly understand the importance of their role in the health care transition process.

Attending the conference will be beneficial to youth and young adults with disabilities/special health care needs, parents, social workers, case managers, school administrator (sped directors, school nurses, etc.), direct support providers, counselors, physicians, and all other individuals who are interested in learning more about the health care transition process.

The summit will be held in two locations:

Wednesday, March 21, 2018
Itawamba Community College Belden Campus
(5 miles outside Tupelo, MS)

Tuesday, March 27, 2018
Clyde Muse Center Pearl, MS
(8 miles outside Jackson, MS)

Registration Fees:
Self-Advocate/Student w/ disabilities........$15 per person
Parent/Guardian/Sibling.............................$20 per person
Professional..................................................$60 per person

If you registered before January 20, 2018, you will receive a $5 discount.


Exhibitor Fees:
For Profit/Government Agency.................$100 per location
Non Profit...................................................$65 per location
Self Advocate.............................................$35 per location



All non-profit organizations will need to provide their IRS designated Tax ID number on the application for verification purpose.

If your organization/company cannot attend the summit, you can send an item you would like to have put in the participants' bags for a fee of $35. The deadline to reserve exhibitor space, sign up to be a sponsor, and provide payment is Wednesday, January 10, 2018. Exhibitor space is limited in both locations!

We will only accept checks, money orders, or credit card (via website) for registration and exhibitor fees. The day of the event we will not accept personal checks.
