Final Pitch-Off Decides the Winners

Location: Seaport World Trade Center • Waterfront Conference Room • 200 Seaport Boulevard • Boston, MA 02110

The cHealth ’15 Pitch-Off: Emotion Sensing is a pre Connected Health Symposium event. The Connected Health Symposium on October 29-30 is hosted by Partners Connected Health.

For the past three months, clinicians and clinicians-in-training from around the world have been submitting their ideas to use emotion-sensing technologies to improve healthcare. The submitted applications have come from a variety of settings, from the clinic to the classroom to the patient's home. Submissions can be viewed at our online competition site (link must be opened in Chrome, Firefox, Safari or IE9 and later). The top five teams were selected via a combination of crowd-sourced voting and online judge scoring.

At the live event to be held October 28 starting at 4:30PM, the top five teams will compete in front of a live audience and a panel of expert judges to determine the winners. A cocktail reception will follow the event.

Admission is free but space is limited so please reserve early!

Use Your Imagination - Emotion Sensing Unlimited!
The vision for Connected Health is to make care a continuous function in daily life. In order to accomplish this, we need to expand tracking beyond vital signs and collect data that provides further context for your state of health. An important component is emotion sensing. We’ll examine what makes up a valuable visit to the doctor and how we can take conent to a new level virtually. It will be much more powerful for a primary care doctor to not only know an individual's blood pressure and activity level, but also his mood and state of motivation. With this perspective, the opportunities for mood tracking and emotion sensing are only limited by our imagination.
4:55 - 5:45 PM
Finalist Presentations
The finalists will be chosen based on a combination of crowd voting and official judge evaluations after 3 months of online competition. Each finalist will have exactly five minutes to present, followed by 3 minutes of questions from the panel of judges. The judges will deliberate and choose the top three winners.

Partners Connected Health Logo

Partners HealthCare Connected Health creates and validates technology-enabled solutions that empower patients and providers to transform health care. From ideation to research to program design and implementation, our multi-disciplinary team develops innovations that facilitate collaborative care, self-management, and improved quality.

Drawing on over 20 years of experience, our team of clinicians, researchers, technologists, consultants and business professionals collaborate with providers, patients, policy makers and industry to demonstrate the power of technology-enabled interventions in research studies and in “real-world” clinical and remote patient settings. The interventions designed and developed by Partners Connected Health focus on creating behavior change, generating efficiencies and improving the quality of care. We are moving health care forward to be more proactive, population-based and patient-centered.

Our leadership engages across the global health care community to accelerate the adoption and impact of connected health, participating in a variety of governing and regulatory boards, and convening an annual symposium that draws over 1,000 participants each year.

For over 20 years, we have harnessed technology to integrate health into everyday life.

The American Resident Project Logo

The American Resident Project, sponsored by ThinkAnthem, is a platform for future physician leaders–medical students, residents and physicians newly in practice–to connect, explore ideas for transforming American health care delivery, and exchange their views with other health care providers and opinion leaders across the country.
