Following a short wine reception, Dr Svetislav Maric, Cantab, 1995, Electrical Engineering, Director of Engineering & IT Programs at UCSD Extension will speak, in a not very technical manner, on the development challenges and future roll-out of 5G networks, providing up to, perhaps, 20Gb/sec download speeds. Also he will briefly review how we got to 5G starting from GSM barely 25 years ago, and discuss some social aspects of 5G.
