Event description
Join a new book club at Parkdale on the first Thursday of every month to talk about a great book.

About this Event

Join Parkdale's New Fiction Book Club and read an interesting book every month. The Parkdale book club will meet on the first Thursday of the month to discuss a book from 6:30-8:00 pm. Copies of the books are available for pick up at the branch a month before the meeting.

Our First book will be Ian William's "Reproduction" The winner of the Giller Prize for fiction in 2019.

All are welcome!

Those who attend the initial meetings will help establish the direction of the group. Books currently under consideration for future months are "Eileen" by Ottessa Moshfegh, "Split Tooth" by Tanya Tagaq, "If Beale Street Could Talk" by James Baldwin and "Remains of the Day" by Kazuo Ishiguro.

For more information or to join, call 416-393-7686. (You can order a ticket here, but please also call the branch to let us know you're coming!)
