For our next Paris Lectures event, we will be featuring community members speaking about their passions in the especially fun and challenging Pecha Kucha format, with 20 slides each automatically progressing after 20 seconds. We will have 10ish speakers, which we will announce the week prior to the event.
An open call for speakers will be posted until Friday, October 7th. Submit your idea here: http://bit.ly/parislecturespk
Doors will open at 7:30 for folks to mingle and we will begin the presentations at 8:00pm. We will have a doorperson checking tickets, so please make sure you're registered! (No need to bring a paper copy of your ticket, we will have registered guests' names on a list). Come early to order a drink and meet the speakers.
New venue & parking
We're excited to host this Paris Lectures in a new venue, the Dominion Telegraph Centre across from the Arlington on the corner of William and Grand River Street North. Enter the venue via the side door on William Street and follow the stairs up to the room which overlooks the Grand River. There is also an accessible elevator available. Public parking is available for free as usual on Grand River Street North or in the lot one street west off Broadway. Please let us know if you have any concerns!
Get a ticket. But save paper – don't *print* your ticket.
Make sure you REGISTER for a ticket. If you make a donation (thank you!), there's no need to register again – one RSVP per person will do. If you register a ticket but are unable to come, pretty please give us a heads-up within 48 hours so we can re-release your ticket/s. And remember, save trees – no need to bring your ticket to the event once you are registered, we will have your name on a list. Thank you!
What is Paris Lectures?
The purpose of our creative meetups is really simple – share what people in the community are working on, inspire each other with everyone's many talents, and simply get to know your creative neighbours in a casual, social setting. These events are hosted by Jane & Jury – check us out.
Help us spread the word, do tell your friends and invite them to this event. All are welcome (events usually run late, but babies and kids are very welcome too).
