Event description

Description

Join the University Center for Teaching and Learning for Diversity in Modern Culture, a film series with four unique films. Pariah is Dee Rees’ powerful tale of coming-of-age that captures the poignant sense of feeling like a pariah. We look at the fine artistic tradition of turning being an outsider into a position of power. (http://www.focusfeatures.com/pariah)

A discussion will follow the film, led by University of Pittsburgh faculty, Diana Anselmo Sequeira of Film Studies and Ashley Woodson of the School of Education.

Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. Reservations are required.
