Parents Connected will be hosting 3 computer classes this winter. If you see a topic you would like to learn more about, please register. Feel free to register for all 3 classes if you like! This is what each class will teach:
Quick and Easy MS Word:
Class will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 4 -6 pm.
This class will focus on teaching the basics of Microsoft Word, including setting up a document using the MLA standards. One hour of instruction will be followed by a second hour of practice.
Reaserch Using Databases:
Class will be held on Wednesday January 25, 2017 from 4-6 pm.
This class will focus on teaching how to conduct research for high school and college classes. There will be two hours of instruction and practice combined to make you comfortable finding and using database information inclufing building citations.
An Hour of Coding:
Class will be held on Wednesday February 1, 2017 from 4-6 pm.
This class will focus on teaching how to code with the help from code experts from the Contra Costa County Office of Education. One hour of code instruction followed by an hour of practice.
All Parents Connected participants are invited to arrive at the library early for a healthy snack. Participation is limited to 30 students/an or library patrons with interests in attending. Future classes may be added to accomodate interest. You may bring and use your own wifi enabled laptop.
