About this Event

Since the legalization of marijuana, as parents we’re entering an unknown territory with so many questions. Join us and let’s have a candid conversation about how to talk to your teen about marijuana, in a way that they’ll actually listen.

In this workshop you will:

- Understand the correlation between cannabis use & youth mental health

- Learn myths and facts around cannabis and it’s legalization

- Be educated around short-term & long-term effects of cannabis use

- Recognize signs of dependency and chronic use & know what to do about it

- Gain available resources in your community

The workshop is for all parents, or those working with teens or young adults, looking to engage with like-minded individuals on topics that matter!

What will the workshop look like?

Located at Straight Up, you will be provided with a comfortable space to enjoy a 75 minute workshop, following a 15 minute Q&A session.

Who’s the facilitator?

As a registered Social Worker, Sabrina La Tona specializes in working with clients experiencing mental health challenges, family and relationship conflict, identity loss & life transitions. Supporting clients through re-building who they are and learning to move through their past experiences.
