Parenting in a Digital World
Hosted by Trabuco Hills High School PTSA
Did you know that 1 out of every 5 children are contacted by an online predator, and an online threat can result in an expulsion, which is permanent school record?
The Parenting in a Digital World is a FREE 2-hour cyber safety seminar that will prepare parents to effectively supervise their child on social media sites and protect them from online threats.
The class first explains the current technology and applications teens are using to access the Internet and social media networks. Secondly, cyberbullying and other online threats are defined with current trends and real world examples that Deputy Cranford has investigated in schools. Lastly, participants will be given tools and an action plan that they can immediately begin using to help keep their children safe online.
Don't miss this event. It is a unique opportunity to learn how to keep our children safe online and how to maximize their choices in college admissions and career opportunities.
